The following are a list of ongoing and proposed projects I have established and will pursue in philanthropy.
1035 Transfer for Endowments
Working for Fairly Even, I obtained my life and annuities insurance license. Any gain or commissions from the 401k hybrid standard shift to an indexed annuity for an instructor goes directly to an endowment for underfunded university departments.
Blood Donation Coordination
As a Freemason at The Patriot Lodge, through the Square & Compass Club student organization, I coordinate with INOVA to have a monthly blood donation event on campus. Blood donation is a major charity project with the Grand Lodge of Virginia. This project sets a precedent between Mason’s medical and nursing studies with the INOVA hospital of Fairfax. We would like to propose that regular donation may be beneficial to students in need and whom may receive financial support from their service and donation.
Endowment for Linguistic Study
Excess funds are yearly allotted to a scholarship at George Mason, College of Humanities and Social Sciences. I created this project in 2023 once my professional career started off. The humanities are often less funded and many language departments have been shut down. Linguistics studies being the origin of the humanities, I created this project to close that disparity for students with academic merit and in financial need.
Individualized Various Language Instruction
I provide instruction of Russian, Finnish, Estonian, German, and English as a second language. I focus on grammatical theories, phonetic production, and phraseology. From the constructivist methodology of instruction, I start with frequent, topical verb forms to build grammatical relations with frequent nouns. This starts with an introduction to graphemic systems and cultural/etymological history, which continues through the study of the grammar — to provide instruction that is closer to relevant native-like knowledge. Each lesson I provide is measured in “sessions, which aren’t defined with a strict time-frame, rather in measurement of bulk-knowledge for the student given that they need on specific topics, or a theme that desires more detail. Typically an entire lesson will run between 1.5 hours and 2. Some have extended to 3 with a break.
I focus on English second language acquisition and specialized grammar based on the descriptions in Holzen’s Notes on Grammar. My own lessons and worksheets that cover several years of instruction. historically, I have used Wordly Wise workbooks, however I use them now as supplemental materials.
Seasonally, I guide students through an SAT prep course designed by IVY Prep through College Board.
Voronell: Vorontsov & Purcell Vineyard and Distill
I founded Voronell LLC for the purpose of building business partnerships and relations for imported products and domestic production. My closest friend, Yuri Vorontsov and I have spotted in Virginia and are currently in process of purchasing 30 acres with investors in Virginia wine country to develop an already established vineyard and distillery for Georgian styled products. This includes Cabernet and Amber Pitcher fermentation; Cha-Cha, a Georgian clear-liquor from grape leaves; as well as various personal interests ranging from Absinthe and VirGINia. The properties will contain rentable places to stay with relaxing accommodations while passing through Appalachia and the Eastern US wine trail. We are currently in the process of building relations with wineries in VA and others proximal to the property.
Corvids’ Carcass and Carrion Collection
Two associates and I in the greater Richmond area and Tidewater ethically collect deceased animal remains. Usable remains are applied to artistic projects just as mounts and articulated decoration for practical use such as puppetry and mobiles.
Hemp and Distillery Project
40.83 acres of zoned farmland in central Virginia planned to be irrigated and turned for hemp with a possible transition to cannabis upon federal legalization. So far a hemp-specific company has offered to make a contract to startup this business. There is an additional suggestion that black tea be cultivated on the land. I currently grow hemp and sell crops at a small scale at my own residence. Since the land is directly between two universities, we are planning to build a distillery in order to distribute along 95, in cooperation with Voronell.
Private movie theaters.
Those viewing films in small groups can go see films in private viewings for the same price as larger studios. In the same amount of space, 2 floor seating would compensate for the quantity of tickets sold and demand would be high from competition. Movie times would be scheduled to the user’s renting of a room. It would be the maximum use of space. This method appeals to individuals who desire privacy and full immersion into cinema that is sought without having a private theater at home.
N.O.C. Night Owl Coffee and Study Center
Supported by Argo Tea a 24 hour cafe and late night wine bar in a college town where students may study in seclusion in association with school archives, designed in memories of my partner, Sierra (Kestrel) Aceto.
